Disclaimer:
According to a ruling by the district court of Hamburg on 12th May 1998, a website operator who places a hyperlink is jointly responsible for the content of the linked site. (Az: 312 O 85/98 - "Liability for links"). According to the ruling, this can only be prevented if the operator dissociates itself from the content of linked websites. For direct or indirect links to other websites (hyperlinks) which are outside the responsibility of BESTAR , liability would only arise if BESTAR has knowledge of the content and is technically able to disable the link.

According to the decision of the District Court Berlin Tiergarten on 30 June 1997, the creator of a hyperlink to an external website is not obligated to continuously review the website to which the link refers (Az: 260 DS 857/96).
